Many of us have commented on how we'd love to live in some of our dollhouses (The Shopping Sherpa does at 1:25 min here) ...now you can actually put yourself in your dollhouse.Twinkind, a new company based in Hamburg, Germany, can turn you, your loved ones, or your pets into remarkably detailed figurines. Using 360-degree scanning and 3-D printing technologies, Twinkind is making realistic statues that capture everything from facial expressions and hair styles to the folds in your clothes.
The final figurines range in size from roughly 6″ (around $300) to 13″ (around $1,700) plus the cost of the trip to Hamburg. Hopefully they will be expanding to different countries. I think it would be so cool to have my mini me living in my dollhouse.

ReplyDeleteThey are so realistic, I just want a bunch of different people in standing and sitting positions that I could use to make people really look twice at my dollhouse pics. There just aren't enough modern 1:12 scale dolls out there.

I had to a double take too. Almost kinda creepy how much detail they capture.
