"My Design Life" on Mode
Mode spent 5 hours at my house filming my collection and interviewing me for their web series “My Design Life”. It’s a cool series of eclectic artists and interesting projects; the Samurai Hairstylist is pretty wild.
I was so nervous in front of the camera at first but they did a great job editing it. I'll post pictures and more details about the rooms that were edited out.
Here are all of their "My Design Life" videos (now under Glam.com):

Brilliant!!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Marion!
DeleteLove this. You were relaxed and articulate. Bravo!
ReplyDeleteThanks Claudia. The beginning of filming was the worst. I was talking too fast and they had to keep asking me to slow down, or repeat what I said. I was definitely rambling a bit. They truly did a great job editing it all together. I don't think they used any of the first hour of the interview. It got easier but I was still a bit nervous for most of it. :)
Deletethat was so great, I agree with Claudia you were wonderful in front of the camera
ReplyDeletecongratulations on a job well done
Hugs
Marisa :)
Thanks! We filmed 2 months ago so I've been anxious to see how it came together and was pleasantly surprised at how well they edited it.
DeleteYou didn't come across as nervous - it was a delightful feature on miniatures offering some insights into the mind of a miniaturist.
ReplyDeleteThanks Tina!

ReplyDeleteThanks Karin! It is definitely a fun eclectic world. :)

ReplyDeleteAwesome! You didn't seem nervous at all. I enjoyed watching the other videos as well.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed watching this video and your dollhouses are truly a Pleasure to see. You have presented minis as an Art form for serious adults which also incorporates serious design.
ReplyDeleteBravo!

I would be very nervous, too, but I didn't sense any nervousness watching you. After the early jitters you say you had, you did very well! I love modern miniatures, and have enjoyed your blog for a long time. It was wonderful seeing your collection, and I can definitely relate to the reasons you love miniatures. I feel the same way. :)
ReplyDeletewhat fun it was ,getting to know you!Cheers.
