Loft in Miniature Collectors

This condo was featured in the November 2005 issue of Miniature Collector. If anyone has that back issue, I'd love to know details on the builder. I came across this picture on Chatauqua Miniatures website.

New Kitchen

So for $40 I opted for this kitchen island from The Dolls House Emporium. Depending on how this fits in the kitchen that I have yet to build, I might buy the room divider pictured below. That will be fun to find accessories for.

Just my luck. This kitchen island went on sale at The Dolls House Emporium for only $29 in their January sale! Guess I'll have to start shopping the sale racks to start with.

I hate Barbie... She has everything

I so wish Barbie could share all of her modern furniture in 1:12 scale. I would design a house around these Randall Craig Home Living Room and Dining Room collections if they only came in smaller sizes. More pictures at PinkPonyTail.com and a variety of shops online.

Recycled Doll House

Another great idea for an affordable dollhouse. All of these images are from DollDigs94a Flickr page. Follow the link for details on building materials. I'm not a huge fan of dolls in dollhouses, but I absolutely love this idea.

Vintage 50-60's furniture

I fought for this vintage 50-60's living room furniture set on eBay and they arrived today. The set is Ideal Petite Princess line 1964-1965, which I didn't know at the time (thanks Deb!), but probably would have paid a lot more if that had been in the title of the ebay listing.
I LOVE the couch and chairs, although I will have to re-upholster the green couch and possibly the blue satin chairs. Undoubtedly more effort than it will be worth if I screw it up, but somewhere I'll find a home for these.

Momoll Wooden Dollhouses

There are lots of modern wooden dollhouses readily available on the market. I hope this trend in modern designs for kids dollhoues will translate into more modern designs in collectible versions.

Playtower Thing 3 (Spielturm Ding 3) starts at $250 and each additional floor is around $130.



They also produce this Furniture set Legno (Spielmöbel Set Legno) to furnish the houses for $40 of $55.

Dream Kitchen

I'm contemplating which kitchen to get for my contemporary dollhouse. For under $500 this Bespaq Mahogany Kitchen Set from Dollhouse Collectables is nice.




For under $200 I could combine kits and assembled cabinets with Houseworks Components also from Dollhouse Collectables






Or I can just suck it up and get the Dream Kitchen from Elf Miniatures for $1400.




As a last option I might contact Elf Miniatures to find out how much this 1:24 scale kitchen runs in 1:12, or attempt a custom build from a kit.
