Mid-century Modern Dollhouse on ebay

Déjà vu. I was staring at this house on ebay trying to figure out why it looked so familiar. A little searching and oh yeah Mini Mod Pod! Recognize the bedroom? I love the interior walls; the bathroom is my favorite.

House comes unfurnished, but move in ready. If you live driving distance from Carmel, IN, I would definitely check out this pick up only mid century modern dollhouse. Having just built a house, I think the starting price of $335 is definitely worth it.

Update 1/27: now starting bid is $295 on new listing. It's still listed as pick up only, but if you are willing to pony up for shipping contact Mad for Mod on her blog and see more interior pictures here: https://minimodpod.blogspot.com/2012/01/for-sale-on-e-bay-spread-word.html. 1. I agree that a wooden dolls house is one of the nicest gifts you can purchase for your daughter. Parents who choose a wooden dolls house for their child are giving so much more than a loved gift that will last through generations

  3. Thanks for the sales pitch! I suppose that's why so many people are watching it on Ebay. LOL!

I really love this house, but I need to make room to build another. My real house is at capacity and beyond. Between all of my dollhouse stuff and my two kids stuff we're bursting at the seams. I just sold my Brinca Dada Emerson too...that was a heart breaker.

  7. playmobil I definitely think dollhouses are great for kids, my son and daughter love theirs, but honestly, I'm still more interested in getting new ones for me. :P

Karin I'm betting the only reason there are no bidders yet is the house is pick up only in Carmel, IN, United States. I only know a few modern miniature enthusiasts that live in that neck of the woods, but it all depends on how far you are willing to drive.

When I first started collecting, I couldn't fathom paying over $300 for a dollhouse. After building the Fascination Station kit, I totally get it. Right now my Fashion House is running a total bill of over $500 to build and I'm not even finished yet. And that's just supplies, factoring $0 for my time. When I sell it, there is no way I'll be able to recoup all my expenses, but luckily its just a hobby for now.

I think $335 is a great deal for this finished move in ready OOAK modern dollhouse in pristine condition. But it's all about location. :D

Mad For Mod I have yet to sell on ebay, but that's cool they give you stats on who's watching. I hope you get some good bids.

I know what you mean about space, or lack there of. My husband has been eyeballing the Emerson for it to go, but I haven't photographed it yet. Can't let it go without pictures first. The plan is to sell my Fashion House after the I am a Giant challenge, so I'll have room for my next build. I've already put the Kaleidoscope House in my kids room. Too many houses, not enough space. Can't wait to see what you build next.

  8. Speaking of the Fascination Station, did you cut the plastic for the stairs yourself? I was just wondering because I'm trying to figure out how to get rid of all the saw marks and make the edges polished.

  9. Hey Mini Mod Pod Too funny, I'm emailing you right now. Well not now, as I'm commenting here, but again momentarily. At the moment I don't have the equipment to cut the acrylic, so the stairs I had cut and polished by TAP Plastics. I'm lucky enough to have a store 15 minutes away, so I have spent a lot of time over there getting all the windows and plexi cut for that house. I do have some scrap plastic pieces that I have tried to buff off the scratches with, but I have yet to successfully get rid of scratches without their buffing machines. I'm hoping for my birthday in May to get some new equipment and I'll keep you posted on what I find. I would love to cut more plastic at home, but the edges are the tricky part.
    :D
