Finally got some Paul MacAlister 1:12 miniatures

This was the last of the 1:12 scale Paul MacAlister miniatures on ebay (see my other posts for more information on Paul MacAlister). I did win two of the auctions (blue chair and bamboo set), but I lost serveral due to my own ineptitude. Waiting to the last minute to snipe an item and tring to cook/feed your children dinner do not equal an ebay winner. D'oh! I forgot to increase my max bid on the mirror, and then completely missed bidding on a few items dealing with a melt down from the 2-yr-old. And I burned the green beans. Sigh. Here are all of the beauties to remember.

(all images and details from ebay listings by seller decoray)

Mid Century Modern Miniature Living Room Set
This lot consists of a couch with hand painted upholstery and walnut legs with a hand painted loose pillow; a wooden armchair with handpainted upholstery and loose hand painted shaped pillow; a walnut end table and coffee table. 6 pieces in all. All the 'fabric' is handpainted wood.

Mid Century Modern Miniature Upholstered Side Chair
This piece is an unusual mid century modern side chair with soft stuffed blue vinyl upholstery on a black metal frame.

Mid Century Modern Miniature Walnut Cabinet
This piece is an unusual mid century modern solid walnut cabinet hand crafted in wood. This piece sits on a pedestal which is not attached to the bottom. I believe he did this so he could switch different pieces to some various options.

Mid Century Modern Miniature Wall Mirror
This piece is an unusual mid century modern hanging wall mirror with 2 level wooden frame hand crafted in wood.

Mid Century Modern Miniature Dresser 1:12
This piece is an unusual mid century modern 3 drawer dresser hand crafted in wood.

Mid Century Modern Miniature Architectural Pieces
These pieces are an unusual mid century modern set of architectural details: a complete window with blinds and drapes & a door with frame. Both hand crafted in wood and skillfully painted.

Mid Century Modern Miniature Cabinet & Coffee Table
These pieces are an unusual mid century modern set of furniture in wood with metal legs.

Mid Century Modern Miniature Planter with Ficus
This piece is an unusual mid century modern planter with plant hand crafted in wood.

Mid Century Modern Miniature Set of 3 Benches
These pieces are an unusual mid century modern set of 3 benches, designed to be used together to form a single 5 3/4" wide bench or to be used separately.

Mid Century Modern Miniature Cabinet & Desk
These pieces are an unusual mid century modern set of home or office furniture: a 4 drawer cabinet & a desk. These pieces have functioning drawers which are skillfully constructed just like real furniture with mortised corners. All the cases have mortised corners which show the layers of wood to give a Herman Miller / Thin Edge look to these pieces. There's a great contrast between the walnut tops & drawer fronts, the blond edges and the red panels. Both have metal bases and legs.

Mid Century Modern Miniature Chair Bamboo Table & rack
These pieces are an unusual mid century modern set of furniture consisting of a modern white lounge chair made of white painted wood with tubular metal legs; a bamboo coffee table with wooden top with tiny plant centerpiece, and triple bamboo legs, and a little chair-side magazine rack complete with 2 small books.

Mid Century Modern Miniature Modernist Hanging Fixture
This piece is an unusual mid century modern hanging light fixture made of painted wood. It's attached to an 11" long brass wire which, of course, can be trimmed to any length desired. Metal handle on bottom.

Mid Century Modern Miniature Book Collection
These pieces are a collection of handpainted wooden books.

Mid Century Modern Miniature Abstract Original Painting
This piece is an original abstract painting by Paul MacAlister, an artist listed in Who Was Who in American Art.

Mid Century Modern Miniature Upholstered Daybed
This piece is an upholstered mid-century modern daybed with met6al base and legs.

Mid Century Modern Miniature Pole Lamp
This piece is a mid-century modern pole lamp made of painted wood with metal parts. The lamp has a 12" long stem, which can be trimmed to fit your interior. Looks just like the original.

Mid Century Modern Miniature Nelson Style Slat Bench
This piece is a mid-century modern slat bench in the style of George Nelson. Meticulously crafted out of individual pieces. Blond top with black legs. Looks just like the original.

Hey Plushpussycat You are welcome! I figure since I can't have all of them, I at least want to be able to look at them whenever I want. Especially since ebay erases photos from old listings, I didn't want these pictures to disappear.

There is not a whole lot out there on Mr. MacAlister, but ebay seller countryhomme sent me some fantastic vintage pamphlets on Mr. MacAlister's Plan-A-Room that has information I couldn't find on google. I will scan and post within the next week. He is selling the 1:24 scale Paul MacAlister miniatures now that I will post tomorrow. All of the information I could find on Mr. MacAlister is in my other 4 posts with more photos here, here, here, and here.

My package arrived on Friday, but we were at the zoo, so I have to pick it up at the post office on Monday. I hate waiting. Can't wait to see it all.
